The Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama is now accepting nominations for the 2012 Juliette P. Doster Award for Outstanding Volunteerism in Healthcare.
The award recognizes those individuals who exhibit a level of commitment to promoting or advancing community health. Nominees must be residents of Calhoun County or contribute their volunteer services in Calhoun County.
Eligible candidates include: Individuals, clubs, classes, teams or groups who give of their time and talent at no cost to improve community health are eligible. This could include volunteering for an organization providing direct health or medical services such as a hospital, medical clinic, rehabilitation, assisted living, or nursing facility.
Volunteers could also provide direct medical related services; medical education; medical training; or advance the public’s awareness of health issues, health choices or a healthy lifestyle.
Nominations may be submitted by any organization or individual.
